Joe Wilkinson joins David on a trip to the Suffolk coast, and engage in a series of bizarre contests along the way, with a little help from an unexpected judge. During their two-day jaunt, David and Joe enjoy the delights of rural life, weaving a course through hazy farmland and sandy lanes, finishing their ride under the setting sun of Southwold beach.
Mel Giedroyc joins David on a two-wheeled trip along the Northumberland coast, ending up at the tidal Holy Island, but crossing rivers on a bicycle proves tougher than it looks. Along the way, they explore stunning coastal views peppered with castles and ancient ruins and take time out to make portraits of each other out of seaweed.
