The car belongs to former NHS theatre nurse Margaret (70) who has owned and loved Imps since she first started to drive. Her beloved car nicknamed 'Tin Lizzie' was her pride and joy until it started to need a lot of work to keep it on the road. Aided by her husband, Margaret started work on the car but mid restoration her husband passed away with COPD. Her father took over the project but he also died shortly after, leaving mother of two Margaret without the time or the knowhow to complete the job.

This time the boys travel to Benfleet in Essex to pick up a real 1970s supercar, a Lotus Esprit S1, a car made famous when it transformed into a submarine in the James Bond movie 'The Spy Who Loved Me'. When the boys arrive to pick it up they discover that rather than being one of the most eye-catching British sports cars ever constructed, they have a really tatty car that hasn't been started for 20 years on their hands. The car was once the pride and joy of Gary, a longstanding London fire fighter who has helped to save lives for many years. According to the team at the Shaftesbury Lane Fire station in London's West End, Gary, at the age of 62, is one of the hardest working firefighters out there. He has even earned the nickname 'Super G'. Most firefighters retire in their 50s but Gary just keeps on going because loves his job. He is a real life national hero.

However after a terrible accident Helen was left with heart problems and in constant pain from severe rheumatoid arthritis and the restoration of her Capri was put on hold. Daughter Rebecca and son Rob called Car SOS to help put their mother's car back on the road and the gleam back in her eye.
