Summary and storyline
Power & Ice is an American reality TV series that follows the brave men who build and maintain the remote parts of the Alaskan power grid. Produced by Tricon Films & Television for the History Channel, the show premiered on August 27, 2015.
Ever wonder how power flows in such rugged places as Alaska? If you did, Power & Ice is the show to watch. History channel follows three competitive power companies as they battle freezing temperatures, avalanches and ice storms in the most unforgiving weather conditions on earth, to bring power to the people of the 49th state. Keeping the lines hot in the rough land and frigid conditions is certainly not an easy job.
The series has a lot of real-life drama, action and risk, as the viewer enters the life and work of highly skilled employees of Alaska Line Builders, Electric Power Constructors and City Electric and their competition for life-threatening but well-paid jobs found only in Alaska.
