After losing Andy and Lorna, Reeva sends the Frosts to bring her a new weapon to destroy Sentinel Services. Reed contemplates the past as he considers a sacrifice in the present, and John comes face-to-face with the man who killed Clarice.
Lauren and Caitlin flee the police, and Reed and Marcos come after them. John deals with losing Clarice, and Lorna tries to convince Andy to come with her.
Reeva finds the person that she believes is responsible for Max's death and exacts bloody revenge. Benedict gives Jace the location of the Morlocks and instructions to wipe them out.
The Frosts attempt to get to Lauren through Andy's dreams, while Clarice calls Caitlin and Marcos to the Morlock tunnels when Glow is wounded while stealing supplies. Meanwhile, a confused and dazed Lauren wanders off on her own and Reed makes a confession to her.
Evangeline calls a summit of the Underground leaders, but Reeva has other plans. Lorna continues to put herself at risk passing on information to Marcos, and Caitlin and Lauren go to see Caitlin's brother Daniel to find out what he knows about the extremists.
Lauren develops new powers after listening to a music box that belonged to Andreas Von Strucker, while Marcos ends up making contact with Lorna again. Jace is forced to make a choice when a Purifier raid goes wrong, and Evangeline calls John to let her know the next step that she's taking.
To rescue John, the Underground has no choice but to turn to two former members--Lorna and Andy--for help. But the reunion isn't as happy as planned.
Andy is forced to rescue Rebecca from the Inner Circle and tries to take her out, but Rebecca has other plans. Meanwhile, the Struckers realize what Madeline is up to, and Clarice and John disagree about John's approach to the mutant war that is coming.

John, Caitlin, and Marcos go to see Wire and convince him to help them track down the Inner Circle. The trail leads the underground to a mental hospital where Marcos and Lauren have to face off against Andy.
John and Clarice seek out Erg, Reed and Lauren go on a supply run, and Marcos has an unexpected reunion with his wife and daughter.
John contacts Evangeline, the mutant lawyer who recruited him as leader of the Underground, for help tracing the Inner Circle financial records. Andy has difficulty focusing after he has a dream of a Lauren terrified of him, and Marcos throws a celebration for the daughter that he's never seen.
Six months after the events in Atlanta--and after Reeva Payge takes control of the Hellfire Club--Sentinel Services escalates its raids on suspected mutants. Caitlin and Marcos go a shady mutant hacker to get info on Andy and Lorna's location, and Lorna's pregnancy approaches.
Jace and SS find the Underground HQ and launch an attack. Meanwhile, Lorna and Andy decide which side that they're on.
The Frost Triplets convince the Mutant Underground to help them abduct Roderick from a Humanity First Summit. Meanwhile, the Struckers track down Ellen when they discover that she may know who Otto was talking with about his X-Gene research.
The Frost triplets suggest to the Underground that they ally together, without revealing their connection to the Hellfire Club. Meanwhile, Lorna's powers continue to grow, and the Struckers prepare to leave the country.
Esme puts her own plan into effect, convincing the Struckers to ask Jace to transfer the prisoners at Trask. Meanwhile, Roderick tests the extent of Andy and Lauren's powers.
Esme comes up with a plan to break into the Trask facility and rescue the prisoners, but it requires Andy and Lauren to go on a side mission that requires them to use their newfound joint power.

Meanwhile, Caitlin objects when Lorna starts training Lauren in how to use her powers offensively, and Jace increases his efforts to hunt down the mutant undeground.

Marcos turns to a former girlfriend for information on the convoy that is taking Reed and Lorna to a secure facility. Meanwhile, John and the others plan a rescue, but things go amiss when it turns out that Jace has a mutant of his own.
